TITLE: Christmas greetings to all Christian Lawyers in Nigeria
Date: December 25, 2024
Subject: Heralding the Birth of the LORD our KING
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we gather with family, friends, and colleagues to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I extend warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. May this joyous season fill your hearts with love, peace, and hope (Romans 5:5).
Today, we commemorate the miraculous birth of our King, who brought light into darkness, hope to the despairing, and redemption to humanity (John 1:4-5). As Christian lawyers, we are reminded of God’s sovereignty over all aspects of life, including justice.
As we reflect on Christ’s birth, may we recommit ourselves to upholding biblical principles in our profession. May our words be seasoned with grace, our actions guided by compassion, and our advocacy inspired by justice (Colossians 4:6). May we continue to shine as beacons of hope, defending the vulnerable, promoting righteousness, and advocating for the marginalized.
Let us strive to mirror Christ’s love, embracing our colleagues, clients, and communities with kindness and understanding.
As we celebrate the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, may our hearts overflow with gratitude. May our fellowship grow stronger, united in prayer, support, and service. May God bless Nigeria, guiding our leaders with wisdom and integrity. May our nation flourish, founded on justice, peace, and righteousness (Psalm 33:12).
Wishing you a blessed Christmas and a joyful New Year!
May Christ, our King, reign supreme in our hearts, homes, and profession.
With love and appreciation.
Femi David Ikotun
President, Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON).
