The delegation from the NBA Bwari Branch today, Thursday 26th September, 2024 paid a courtesy visit to the Branch Chairman, Paul Babatunde Daudu at his office in Jabi led by some members of the Executive and senior members of the Bar. conferment with the prestigious title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
The visit was an opportunity for the delegates to formally congratulate the NBA Bwari Branch Chairman, Paul Babatunde Daudu on his conferment with the prestigious title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and also to discuss key issues concerning the Branch.

The members of the delegates present at the meeting included Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo – Former 2nd VP NBA and Chairman of the NBA Bwari, Monday Adjeh – Former Chairman, NBA Bwari, Mrs Dorcas Ngwu – Former National Officer – NBA, Pst. Friday Ojefu – Elder and member of Advisory Committee, Olalekan I Oladapo – Former Secretary, Elder, NBA Bwari, Mr. Obinna Amorha – Former Vice-Chairman, NBA and Elder, Bwari Branch, Chief Maxwell Opara – Cooped member of Exco and Elder, Mr Richard Ossai – Former PRO and Chairman, Electoral Committee, Mrs Onyinye Nweke – Former Financial Secretary, Mrs Adaghe Izin – Former Treasurer, Mrs Chinyere Moneme, Chairman Law Week and SGBV Committee, Aikpomeime Monday Aikpomeime – PRO. Exco, Mr. Teinye Akobo, Alternate Chairman, Law Week Committee, Ifeanyi Chukwu – Former Treasurer.

During the visit, all members of the delegates expressed their heartfelt congratulations to Paul Babatunde Daudu on his conferment as Senior Advocate of Nigeria, prayers were also offered to him. They stated their reason for coming, “We came to celebrate with you and we pray that the chain that binds us together is not broken, we pray that the Branch continues to move in love and in unity”.

The Immediate Past 2nd Vice President Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka stated that this was the first time a bar man from the Branch is becoming a SAN even though we have other Senior Advocates in the Branch. That he came from Unity Bar to Bwari Branch and succeeded in not only becoming a Chairman but a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
He also added that since the Branch was created in 2012, it has been successful since then.
Furthermore, the delegates also emphasized on the importance of having a Secretariat for the Branch and the welfare of members especially the young lawyers to be looked into.

In his response, Paul Babatunde Daudu warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for their visit and support. He stated that when he became the Chairman, he had to do his best to bring unity to the Branch and that the Branch is a popular Branch which has a name already at the National.

He reassured them that their concerns, particularly regarding the need for a Branch Secretariat would be taken into consideration. He also emphasized the importance of working together to ensure that the Branch remains in unity and suggested the need for a consensus when it comes to election in the Branch.

The Chairman reminded the delegation of the reception for the swearing in ceremony coming up on the 30th of September, 2024, which will be an opportunity to launch the Branch Journal and the proceed will be used to buy a land for the secretariat.
