We write to congratulate the President-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association Mazi Josiah Afam Osigwe (SAN) on his landslide victory at the NBA polls, and we must commend the Electoral committee of the NBA (ECNBA) for conducting one of the most transparent and peaceful elections in the history of the NBA.
At a time the Bar and our dear country needs a personality that is firm, courageous, out spoken and innovative to meet the urgent needs of lawyers and the nation at large, we are not surprised that Nigerian lawyers have chosen you and your team to lead the Bar.
Over time, your records of valuable and selfless service to the bar continually speaks in your favor. We are confident that you will not leave the bar the way you met it, we strongly believe that your leadership will take the bar to a level all Nigerian lawyers will be proud of and build trust in the NBA as an Institution.
May we also humbly express our profound gratitude to our colleagues that supported and believed in the AFAMATIVE movement through our crusades & evangelism, and we are also very confident that the Learned silk Mazi Afam Osigwe will deliver on all his campaign promises.
The legal Profession remains a crucial & critical driver of change and instrument of social engineering in Nigeria. Consequently, we call on all members of the Bar to support and rally around Mr President-elect as Mazi Afam Osigwe (SAN) is for all.
We also use this opportunity to congratulate all the National Officers-Elect who emerged from the elections. We believe Nigerian Lawyers have made their choice and we believe you will deliver on the mandate and wish you all the best.
We pray the Almighty God grant you and the entire Executive Council the wisdom and all that you need to lead Bar.
