Dear Residents of the Federal Capital Territory,

As we bid farewell to the holy month of Ramadan, I extend to you, on behalf of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, my warmest greetings on the occasion of Eid el-Fitr.

I also sincerely congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the successful fulfillment of this religious obligation and pray that the supplications addressed to Almighty Allah will be heard.

This auspicious festival not only marks the end of a month-long period of fasting, prayer and reflection, but also serves as a profound reminder of the values of compassion, generosity and unity that are at the heart of Islam.

During Ramadan, we experience the spirit of self-discipline, compassion and unity that characterizes this holy month. It is a time when we come together in solidarity, share meals, break fasts and support each other in acts of charity and kindness.

However, I urge us not to limit these acts of charity, love and tolerance to the holy month alone but to inculcate this culture in our daily lives.

The end of Ramadan should not mean the end of our prayers either. I hereby urge all of us to continue to implore the Almighty for divine wisdom and guidance for our dear country Nigeria and its leaders, especially as they work ceaselessly to overcome our current challenges.

Dear residents of the FCT, this spirit of unity and cohesion that characterizes the nation’s capital is not only integral to the observance of Ramadan but is also in line with the values of harmony and cohesion that the Federal Capital Territory represents.

The FCT embodies diversity, tolerance and harmony and serves as a symbol of unity for all Nigerians. Our strength lies in our ability to embrace our differences and work together to achieve common goals, regardless of our ethnicity, religion or background.

As we celebrate Eid el-Fitr, we reaffirm our commitment to building a society where every individual is valued and respected and where peace and harmony prevail.

Let us embrace the message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s Renewed Hope Agenda which prioritizes the well-being and prosperity of all Nigerians.

As part of this noble agenda, the FCTA focuses on infrastructure development, healthcare, education, security and economic empowerment.

The progress we have made so far, particularly in the areas of safety and infrastructure provision in the road and rail sectors, as well as reforms in the administration of the FCTA, has been recognized and commended.

By investing in these key areas, we aim to create a more vibrant and resilient FCT where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

As we celebrate Eid el-Fitr, I appeal to all residents to celebrate responsibly and be safety conscious at all times.

I wish you all once again a happy and memorable Eid-el-Fitr.

Barka da Sallah!

LAWYER EZENWO NYESOM WIKE CON, GSSRS
